Genneia inaugurated the expansion of the thermal power station Bragado

The Bragado Thermal Power Plant was officially inaugurated after a series of works that allowed the Power Plant to contribute an additional 118.2 MW of power to the Argentine Interconnection System (SADI). This expansion work culminated 37 days before the deadline stipulated in the award, within the framework of the resolution of the Ministry of Energy and Mining 21/2016.

The Minister of Energy and Mining of the Nation, Juan José Aranguren, participated in the inaugural ceremony; the Secretary General of the Government of the Province of Buenos Aires, Fabián Perechodnik, and the Intendant of Bragado, Vicente Gatica, among other officials, businessmen and collaborators of the company.

They invested 110 million dollars; it will generate power for 355,000 homes. With a total power of 166.3 MW, it is the first plant in Resolution 21/2016 operational

Jorge Pablo Brito, president of Genneia, said: \"I am proud of what we have achieved. The work was carried out in two stages (the first was also completed in time in February) and added four GE turbines of 30 MW each, which now guarantees a total power of 168 MW for the entire power plant. For this, Genneia invested US $ 110 million and employed 150 people in this project. The CT Bragado has an estimated generation of 1000 GW / year, which will be able to power 335,000 homes.
